There are a lot of open source shopping cart solutions on the net and one of them is OpenCart. Of course, each solution has its own unique features, as well as it’s own pros and cons, but after comparing OpenCart to other shopping carts, we highly recommend you to check it out as it allows users to build and manage powerful
web shops.
Whether you’re a programmer, website manager or a client, OpenCart is worth testing. After all, it’s available free of charge, but it is a pretty easy way to get an online store up and running.
What is special about OpenCart is that its code is clean and well structured, also OpenCart is not “picky” when it comes to server resources. Another good thing about OpenCart is that it has many extensions, both free and commercial ones, so users can easily improve the functionality of their eCommerce sites.
Thousands of web shops worldwide are built with OpenCart, but unfortunately not all of them look great, really. Perhaps, that’s because OpenCart was first released in 2009, meaning it’s a relatively new solution. Nevertheless, it is gaining popularity among web developers due to its simplicity, easy installation, a visually appealing interface and friendly forum members. It’s great for small to medium sized online shops. At the same time OpenCart allows multistore management. Whatever the case, we want to show you that you can build a beautiful web shop with OpenCart. With this in mind, we’re listing some stunning examples of OpenCart web shops and also some premium OpenCart templates that you can use to create OpenCart sites fast and easy.
As you look through the list below you will not only get inspiration from existing sites, but will probably find the perfect OpenCart template for your project. The point is a template is not as expensive as a custom design; and it takes less time to customize a template than to create a design by yourself. If you are a small enterprise, OpenCart coupled with clean premade design alows you literally start immediately. So, at first you’ll see 10 beautiful online shops from all over the globe. As we’ve already mentioned, all of them are powered by OpenCart. And then you’ll see 10 OpenCart templates from different companies, e.g. KulerThemes, TemplateMonster, BossThemes and eShopaLot.
We hope you’ll enjoy the variety of OpenCart designs, but you’re also welcome to share your links to inspiring examples of what can be done with OpenCart.

I agree some of these sites are visually stunning. But is that all they are graded on ?
I'd like to see templates graded on functionality and CCS/HTML quality too as these aspects will effect the success as much if not more than appearance.
